It was reported that the Eastern Caribbean especially Barbados is shown as the "amputation capital of the world, because of the prevalence of the disease know as diabetes."

This is not good. Amputations are also linked to poor circulation and gangrene.

Healing herbs which are associated with diabetes are:

• healing of wounds: homemade creams or oils which include "silent doctors" cayenne pepper or comfrey;
• healing amputated joint: bay leaf tea for pain and comfrey leaves;
• foot ulcers: lose weight to decrease unnecessary strain and stretching of the skin and use homemade oils or creams made from lemon grass;
• poor circulation/having a slightly dark hue on the feet: lose weight, additionally make a poultice of turmeric, linseed, cure-for-all, garlic and wonder-world and place it on the affected area; and
• a good beverage for diabetic well-being is "Silent Doctor Operation Restore"- 1 dried hibiscus flower, 1 cup mango, 1 cup coconut water, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1/4 cup celery, 1 tablespoon fresh grapefruit/lime juice, 1 teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon tamarind pulp. Blend these ingredients and consume as desired.
